I am having my gall bladder taken out also going to do a tummy tuck it will be approx 4 hours of surgery.I am so scared about the anesthesia.What are my options? is it general only?I have asthma and have terrible nightmares already also suffer from anxiety (can ya tell)I have also had a additction in the past YRS ago and caused a OD of drugs hallucenations ect I am also scared how the meds are going to make me feel.Any advice?what options do I have? I am thinking about skipping the surgery .Thanks for taking your time
Cosmetic surgery is already planned..that they can do under local and sedation gall bladder has 1 large stone but causes no pain or other symptoms surgeon rec’d taking it outfor precaution since I will be undergoing surgery anyways.Im more concerned about the general anesthesia

Excessive visceral fat is known to be a risk factor for heart disease. Will medicine ever endorse removal of visceral fat by surgery ( as in a tummy tuck ) as a preventative measure against heart disease?

I had The Tummy Tuck Surgery back in Dec. and before they did this surgery they placed a heart filter in and now I’m wondering if I can have an MRI done or not?
Yes it is a Vena Cava Filter which is placed in there for blood clots and its only been in since December 2008 just before my surgery.

How would I go about claiming cosmetic surgery as reconstructive cosmetic surgery so that it will be covered?

Gastric bypass, tummy tuck, & Lap Band surgery. What are the benefits & the risks, & which one is the safest? I know my oldest sister died from complications from a tummy tuck, & I heard that Gastric Bypass is bad, too. But I was told that Lap Band was the best & the safest. & is it true that when a woman has a Cesarean Section, that’s an AUTOMATIC tummy tuck? That’s what my twin sister told me, & she had 3 C-sections with all her kids.

When I was living in New York, the doctor strongly emphasized & advized me to get Lap Band surgery, & he told me that Medicaid & Medicare would pay for it. I’m like 175 lbs. overweight for my height. & also, he said that after I’ve lost my desired weight, I can get the lap band taken out at any time. & he said I’d lose 100 lbs. Would I lose 100 lbs. instantly with that or would it take time?

**Sorry for so many questions but I need to get all of them answered.
But I’d rather lose weight the safe & natural way-eating right, exercising, & drinking lots of water, but it’s gonna take forever.
