I was wondering if chemical peeling was covered with the cover fee you pay when you go to the dermatologist. I go to the dermatologist every two months or so. I pay a $40 cover fee and was curious to find out if that would cover chemical peeling. Thanks for any help.

Im getting a chemical peel in about a week for acne scars, sun damage, and persistent white/black heads. I have a couple of questions for all of you out there that have had a chemical peel before. My questions are: how much time passed between the procedure and actually beginning to peel? how long did your skin take to peel/shed? The reason im asking is because im going to school after my procedure and my dermatologist said you take about 2 days to begin to peel but i want to hear your experience. Thanks!

I had a light-moderate chemical peel done 4 days ago. The aesthetician told me that it is was a ‘minor’ procedure and I should only have some slight flaking of my skin over the next few days. She was right for the most part, but my forehead has a sort of strange shiny, ‘tight’ look unlike the rest of my face. I’m also breaking out a bit in this area. Is this because that area is naturally oilier than the rest of my face and responded differently to the chemicals? If so, when can I expect it to go back to normal? Argh.

Has anyone ever tried the microdermabrasion/chemical peel kit from Oil of O’Lay?

Chemical Peel or Facial?

I’m 21 years old and am wanting to know which is better for me, a chemical peel or facial. I have lots of blackheads on my nose (moderate amounts actually) and acne on my cheeks (Not too severe). Not to mention I have dark circles under my eyes. I was wondering if I get a facial if it would get rid of my blackheads or would a chemical peel be better for me?
